I picked up my car (G6 FL LR) on the 19.03 since the days were cold I did not use the AC and around 25th-26th I used the AC and tested multiple times and noticed it did not produce cold air even on MAX..
I called the dealer and they also confirmed it in person on the 30.03, they booked the car to go in the workshop yesterday 06.04 I left the car at 08.30h around 09.00h it was already in maintenance mode in the APP.
They called me at 15.30h saying that they will need the car to spend the night so they can continue to work on it and that they were in contact with Xpeng don’t know if Portugal or China.
So they did not check the AC or probably still in transport mode, they also don’t seem to be experienced with the car at all. Bad news for me since I live on a island and only they represent the brand.
Can I go to other EV workshop and not lose the warranty? For example Renault/Nissan or any other as long they follow the warranty manual? Does anyone know
If the third-party workshop repairs the air conditioning system professionally according to XPENG specifications (operating instructions, approved parts, correct procedure), your remaining warranty (manufacturer’s warranty, battery warranty, paint warranty, etc.) remains valid.
With the XPENG system, the air conditioning system is integrated with the high-voltage battery thermal management system and the heat pump. An incorrect repair (e.g., incorrect refrigerant, missing software adjustment, leaking lines) can lead to further damage later on → then XPENG could argue that the damage was caused by the improper third-party repair.
The burden of proof lies with you. In the event of a warranty claim, you must prove that the third-party repair was carried out correctly.
Wenn die fremde Werkstatt die Klimaanlage fachgerecht nach den XPENG-Vorgaben (Betriebsanleitung, zugelassene Teile, korrekte Prozedur) repariert, bleibt deine restliche Garantie (Herstellergarantie, Batteriegarantie, Lackgarantie etc.) erhalten.
Beim XPENG ist die Klimaanlage mit dem Hochvolt-Batterie-Thermomanagement und der Wärmepumpe verbunden. Eine falsche Reparatur (z. B. falsches Kältemittel, fehlende Software-Anpassung, undichte Leitungen) kann später zu weiteren Schäden führen → dann könnte XPENG argumentieren, der Schaden sei durch die unsachgemäße Fremdreparatur entstanden.

Im Garantiefall muss du nachweisen, dass die Fremdreparatur sachgemäß war.
A third party repir shop might be able to repair it, but why would they be any more familiar with the car? Other than that, you most probably will not be able to claim warranty coverage from Xpeng for this, but rather have to pay it yourself.
My car has gone to this oficial workshop to fix a little scratch and xguard was always becoming active since I have the xcombo when its locked. And I saw one of the painters lift his shirt and try to mark the back windshield with his belly.
The first and second year maintenance can be done at any shop, with regards to EU laws and regulations. After this, your warranty switches to a voluntary extended warranty which will only be honoured by Xpeng if you do your scheduled maintenance at their dealers.
